Mercer: For The Love of Georgia

What to Expect

Over three focused shoot days, a nimble and experienced crew will travel through three small Georgia communities, working efficiently and with a light footprint to capture the people, places, and moments that give each town its character.

The photography will move between cinematic landscapes, sunsets, local landmarks, and quiet details of everyday life; intimate scenes of Mercer students and rural physicians caring for their patients; and elevated portraits of the residents who call these communities home. Together, these 30–45 photographs will create a cohesive visual narrative capable of carrying the full commercial as well as the broader campaign. Our approach will be honest and observant, finding beauty in real spaces, natural light, human connection, and the particular character of each location without relying on stereotypes or romanticizing hardship.

❋ Still Photography

I feel equally at home setting up a stylized, lit portrait on-location as I am working in a pure journalism setting with only natural light. Whether we are building a portrait setup in a community room or capturing candid moments as they happen, my focus is always on the honesty of the subject. I’m comfortable making sure we get a diverse range of imagery that feels both professional and deeply personal.

❋ A Supportive Space

We believe the strongest images begin with trust. Whether we are photographing a physician at work, a medical student learning, a patient receiving care, or a resident standing for a portrait, our priority is to create an environment that feels calm, respectful, and collaborative. We work with a small footprint, provide clear direction without over-directing, and remain sensitive to the intimacy of healthcare settings and the dignity of every person involved.

We would love to collaborate with you on this project! Here is the link to our proposal.
